Sifu Mary Melliza

Sifu Mary Melliza is the chief instructor at Eagle Claw Kung Fu of Sacramento. She has studied Eagle Claw (Ying Jow Pai) Kung Fu for over 20 years under the guidance of Master Benson Lee.

Mary Melliza was introduced to martial arts by her father at the age of 6. Her father instilled the basics of Karate and Judo through private instruction. Later, in 1990, she stuidied and became advanced in Tae Kwon Do while also studying Jujitsu.

In 1997 Mary Melliza discovered the Ying Jow Pai Kung Fu School in Sacramento where she began her studies with Master Benson Lee (Master Benson Lee now resides in Glendale, CA). She also worked closely with her senior training brother Sifu Wolfram V. Birkenbeul-Hesse (Sifu Wolfram V. Birkenbeul-Hesse now resides in Fredricksberg, VA).

Sifu Mary Melliza found the desire and passion to perpetuate the tradition and style of the Eagle Claw Kung Fu System. She has participated and judged in various tournaments, and has traveled to New York city to enhance her studies with Grand Master Shum Leung.

It is Sifu Mary's commitment to this traditional style that has earned her respect in the martial arts community. She welcomes all prospective students to observe class and discuss personal goals in the martial arts.
